Joining in with
Ginny at Small Things for another Yarn Along. It has been SO long since I have participated in this as my knitting had come to a standstill...that is until last night. I have devoured many books since the last post, but had a bit of "knitter's block" (is that a real thing?). But then last night I came across
this pattern again and remembered how much I loved it and all of the lovely cotton I bought last year, so I cast it on! I made one of these dishcloths last year as a Christmas gift, and I intend on making a few more this year.
I am currently re-reading the entire Harry Potter series for pure pleasure. I am on the fourth book (out of seven for those unfamiliar with the series). These books are so much fun to read and I am loving them all over again! Here is another photo showing the texture on the dishcloth:
Thanks for stopping by!

I love rereading books that I enjoy, there's something so relaxing and familiar about it :) And yep, definitely such a thing as knitter's block (or lack of mojo!)
ReplyDeleteYou can never have too many dishcloths! I seem to have at least one on the needles these days =) The red looks very nice!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Goblet of Fire, I have at least one of the HP books lying around at all times and read the series again and again in a close cycle ^^
The HP purist in me wants to read the British printings of the books.
ReplyDeleteThey were all re-edited for an American audience and I am dying to know what I am missing!
I get knitters block from time to time myself. So glad to see you have your mojo back!
Lovely colour for your cloth they sure are the best!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Harry - he sure is an entertaining read.
Glad you're past The Block ;-). What a cool dishcloth. I wonder if my mother would hate me for knitting her one?? I can't wait until my son is old enough to read HP so I can make an excuse to drop all my other books for those! Was it really 32C up there yesterday? I think we've had about one full week of summer all year...then it's back to the wool socks and jumpers (which suits me just fine :-).
ReplyDeletethose dishcloths are great! i am assuming that is what you are making? lol. i too LOVE harry potter! i am waiting to re-read them until my kids are old enough to enjoy them too!

Rainblissed, yes it really was 32 C here, has been for a few days now. We are like you though in the fact that we have (until now) had a very cool summer. In fact, 32 C is quite cool for August here, normally we are in the high 30's by August. I am with you in preferring the cooler weather!
ReplyDeleteJess, I had no idea the British versions of HP were different....now I want to read them as well!
Thank you to everyone for your comments, I really appreciate them!

Reading Harry Potter is on my list of goals for 2011, I need to read a few of the last ones but I want to start at the beginning again. Love the red!
ReplyDeleteOh I could re-read Harry Potter over and over and over again.
ReplyDeleteit's so good to start knitting Christmas gifts early, I try but don't always finish my projects on time, unfortunately...
ReplyDeleteLove the yarn colour!
